And then the greatest thing happened today! There's this beautiful woman whose blog I read daily. I asked her for advice on "publicizing" my blog. Hers is read by many so I figured she would know. Not only did she send me an emailed response to my question, she wrote an entire post about me. If you could have seen the look on my face! My jaw hit the floor! I'm not surrounded by many who can help me grow my faith and then God sent me Valerie Lynn. You can find her at Simply 4 God. I'm amazed at how someone I've never met, never spoken to in person and never even knew existed 3 months ago could become such a great friend.
Have you ever been that kind of friend? I don't think that I have, but I've been inspired to become one. God created people for people. We're not here on earth just to meander our way through life. God created Eve because he wanted Adam to have someone to share it all with. So who are you gonna share it with? What can you do for someone else today? I'm challenging you to practice random acts of kindness. Let me know what you did or will do, perhaps you'll inspire someone else to do the same.
And to Valerie Lynn, thank you for being my friend!

Hello, there! I'm stopping by from Valerie Lynn's blog. She is a good blog friend to me, too. Welcome to the blog world! I'd love for you to stop in for a visit with me at my blog as well. :-)
God bless!
I'm also stopping by through Valerie Lynn's blog. I have to tell you, your blog looks awesome in looks and content. I love your heart, it is obvious God has a great plan for you through blogging.
I've been blogging for two years and I am still learning. One thing I'm seeing is I have a lot of lurkers I did not know about because they did not leave comments.
I wish you a Merry Christmas. Keep up the awesome work.

Hi Leslie,
I just wanted to stop by and encourage you. I've had a website up now for about 6 months and at first I did not get very many visitors. I'm still new to web development and I've made a few mistakes. I noticed though that I started getting traffic but not a whole lot of comments. I have had some prayer and praise reports posted. But I'll tell you what everyone has been telling me and that is just be patient and hang in there because it takes time for your site to be found because the web is so big. But they will find you, just keep sharing Christ and your testimony. Also just because no one doesn't leave a comment does not mean they haven't read your blog and have been encouraged by you. I'm not sure if wordpress has a log stat like webalizer but if it does you can see how many visitors you actually get. I know on my site even though people don't leave a comment often I know it's having an impact on peoples lives because My pages are being bookmarked by a lot of visitors. Just be patient and trust the Lord He'll make your work fruitful.
Blessings in Christ
Dan
P.S -- I don't consider my site fancy, in fact sometimes I think it looks weird, but the Lord is blessing the work. If you want to look at it here the link www.covenantministriesofamerica.com
Hi Leslie,
I'm also a friend of Valerie's...she is a great friend. I've only been here since june 2008, and now have many friends. God put you here in the "blogosphere" for a reason. He knows that only you can speak (well, write) the exact words someone out there needs to hear. So welcome, and you may want to register your blog on LinkRefferral.com...it will help increase traffic. Take care for now. Blessings to you!
Leslie, I found you through Valerie's blog tonight. Wow! You have a great thing going on here! Be encouraged. God has called you to share. It takes some time to get going, I know from experience. But this is a really great blog. God bless you, dear one!
I know exactly what you mean. Trey Morgan did this for me. He is not only one of my hero's but has become a friend. God uses all things, even the blogosphere for his glory!
Hi Leslie! I followed the link from Valerie's blog and found your site -- I just started a blog not too long before you did, it's definitely awesome to share with people and get to know one another and encourage each other through the blogging world. I know that God is going to use your blog in awesome ways!
One of the ways in which I got exposure through my blog is just by perusing other people's blogs that I liked and "following" them -- if you go to your blogger dashboard and add blogs to your "following" section, then lots of times those people will start following your blogs as well, and then awesome friendships are formed!
I read your first entry about "The Shack" -- that's on my reading list for the next month. I'm currently in my winter break from college, and I have 18 books on my list to read before I go back to school! "The Shack" is one of them -- half the people I talk to just rave about how awesome it is, and the other half say it's controversial, so I'm excited to read it and see what I think. I have a feeling I'm going to like it though. When I finish I'll let you know my thoughts!
And welcome again to the blogger world. God bless you and have a great Christmas!
Leslie, bless your heart. Tears are swelled up in my eyes from reading your post. I owe all that I am and all that I do and will ever be to God and God alone. You my sweet and dear friend are a blessing to me as well. My daughter says I have the gift of "adopting" her friends and others because of my sweet spirit and loving heart. This is what God has put me on this earth to do. I love helping and befriending those who feel all alone. I want them to know they are not alone. They are loved. Even though I may not know them, I love and care about them deeply. You my friend are loved by me and will forever be a part of my life. Although we don't know each other nor have met in person, you have made a great impact in my heart. I love you and am always here for you. God bless and keep you my friend. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you.
BTW
Sweetie you don't have to thank me. Thank God for bringing us together over the net! And since you did thank me, it was my pleasure. I would do it again in a heartbeat! Love you!
Thank you all for your kind words and that you commented at all. God has certainly met my needs through you and Valerie Lynn! I'll be checking out all your pages and I hope to hear back from you soon. Thanks for the encouragement and thanks especially to my Glorious God!
